Welcome to St Edmund’s Church

From January 1st 2006 the Parish of Lady Bay and the Parish of Holme Pierrepont with Adbolton were joined to form the new Benefice of Lady Bay with Holme Pierrepont and Adbolton. The Vicar of Lady Bay, the Revd Robert Breckles also became its first Rector. The two churches, All Hallows and St. Edmunds will still have their own PCCs and parish responsibilities but only the one Vicar. It is expected that working together will be developed as times goes by.

We welcome everyone to all our services.

Services are mainly those of the Church of England’s 1662 ‘Book of Common Prayer’ (BCP), although on the second Sunday of ther month, there is a Family Service, designed for families with children, which is less formal. Communion, Matins and Evensong are normally sung, with a full Choral Evensong when there is a fifth Sunday in the month. A robed choir leads the services, which are at 11.00 am and 6.30 pm. each Sunday, with extra services at Christmas and Easter.

The Prayer Book Society

Following a decision by the PCC, application has been made to join the Prayer Book Society.
