Churchwarden Brenda’s February Notes

Although a bit late, may I wish everyone a very happy New Year and hope that your Christmas was a happy one and  you managed to avoid the ‘Aussie Flu’?

Our Christmas season started with the Christingle service led by Revd Mark.   The church was full,  and we once again welcomed the choir, families and children from Pierrepont Gamston school,   It was also lovely to welcome back some of the couples who have married at St. Ed’s, and have since had a baby, together with families who have had their children baptised.   The church was buzzing and it was good to see everyone enjoying the service.   On the 17 December we held our Festival of Nine Lessons & Carols, again with a full church. We all enjoyed the mulled wine and mince pies after the service!  New Year’s Day was celebrated with our traditional Bell-ringers’ service.

On 22nd January a PCC meeting was held and a number of events have been arranged. Please see “Diary Dates” for details.
