The Vicar at St Edmund’s……………

On 13 September 2012, the Revd Mark Rodel was appointed to the benefice of All Hallows and St Edmund’s. Additionally, he has a two days-per week commitment to lecture at St John’s College, Bramcote.  As well as his teaching and parish duties, he has a Diocesan-wide responsibility as a “Pioneer Minister”, to go out and meet people in the community, and encourage them to join the Christian Church. This  means that he has limited time for his “local duties”, and so is not seen frequently at St Edmund’s. He has undertaken, however, to join us at least three times a year, plus the major festivals and social events.

The Revd Canon Howard Bateson  co-ordinates services leaders at St Edmund’s, so that we have a priest at least to celebrate holy communion, marriages, baptisms, etc. Other services will be led by a mixture of priests and lay people. The Revd Howard is  the first point of contact for funerals, weddings, etc.  His name and phone number are on our church Notice Board.
